Junior Trophy 2019

On midsummer’s day, the second annual karting event took place near Blandford for the Junior Top Gear Trophy, an event in memory of Paul Tovey, assistant manager in Poole who was killed in 2017. It was every man (and woman) for themselves as the racing took place over 3 sessions on a very hot afternoon.

The winner was never in doubt as Dean from Christchurch hurtled around the course with his usual efficiency and it was Julian from Bournemouth & Paul from Poole who came in second and third. There was, of course the “wooden spoon” award which Kirsty, the depot manager at Poole, managed to valiantly hang on to for the second year running.

Presentations, and a few cool pints, were completed in the garden at the local pub afterwards where the celebrations continued.
