Volunteer

Dorset Reclaim is all about people. One of the key aims of the project is to provide opportunities for members of the community to help in the day-to-day running of the organisation, receive training & share their skills.

We are dependent on a voluntary workforce, have a variety of roles on offer, and hours to suit most people.

Our working days are Monday to Friday and times can be varied to suit the individual, whether a couple of hours or a few days a week, your help will be greatly appreciated.

How to Apply

You will be invited to look around one of our branches, meet the manager and other volunteers, and be given an application form. You will be asked for two references and may be subject to more detailed background checks.

If you are currently in receipt of benefits & want to volunteer, you may need to speak to your Jobcentre Advisor to ensure they are happy & your benefit is not affected.

If you have a criminal record, please don’t be put off from applying to become a volunteer. This will not necessarily stop you from volunteering with the project. We aim to be as inclusive as possible without putting either those that work with us or our clients at risk.

Induction & Training

You will receive information and training about health and safety and essential in-house procedures and will be with us on a trial basis for the first two weeks. This will help both you and Dorset Reclaim ensure there is enough time to discover whether the role is suitable for you, or if there needs to be a change.
