Bournemouth Borough Council has chosen Dorset Reclaim to be a partner in the delivery of the new Local Welfare Assistance scheme from the 1st April 2013. Instead of applying to the DWP for a Community Care Grant or Crisis Loan, Bournemouth residents who find themselves in severe hardship now apply direct to their local council for help with items such as beds, washing machines and cookers.
